must表示說話人有把握的推測(cè),意思是肯定,一定。只能用于肯定句中,否定的推測(cè)用can't/couldn't。對(duì)現(xiàn)在事情的推測(cè)用must be /must be doing,對(duì)過去事情的推測(cè)用must have done。
He must be a happy man, for he always smiles.他一定是個(gè)幸福的人,因?yàn)樗偸敲鎺⑿Α?/p>
I guess he must be playing computer games in his room now.我猜他現(xiàn)在一定在房間里玩電腦游戲。
The street is wet. It must have rained last night.街道是濕的。昨晚一定下雨了。
He can't be at home now.他現(xiàn)在不可能在家。

在肯定句中表示必須,一定,在否定句中mustn't表示禁止,不許。
Every students must obey the school rules.每個(gè)學(xué)生都必須遵守校規(guī)。
You mustn't smoke in the hospital.你不許在醫(yī)院里吸煙。
在一般疑問句中,肯定回答用must,否定回答一般用needn't或don't have to。

在口語中用來表示說話者堅(jiān)定的態(tài)度。

往往表示不愉快的事情。

表示必然的結(jié)果
All men must die.人皆有一死。
If you get up late, you must be late for class.如果你起床晚了,你上課一定會(huì)遲到。
must與have to的區(qū)別
must表示主觀要求,have to表示客觀要求,意思是不得不,must沒有時(shí)態(tài)變化,表示過去,將來或完成時(shí),多用have to。
We must obey the laws.我們必須遵守法律。
It is going to rain. I have to go now.要下雨了。我現(xiàn)在得走了。
He has had to stay at home for a week.他不得不在家里待了一個(gè)星期。
